Burn Ban Status
UPDATE – 06/24/2026
Sable Altura FPD in Arapahoe County is now under a Stage 1 Burn Ban. The Arapahoe County Sherriff implemented the Ban until rescinded. Open Burning is prohibited in the District without a permit that is issued by the District.
FIREWORKS BAN – Fireworks are also banned under the Stage 1 Ban, but please note that outside of that ban, there is a complete ban on ALL fireworks this year in unincorporated Arapahoe County. ACSO will be actively enforcing this ban. Note that even on July 5th, if the county is still under a Stage 1 Ban, fireworks are still prohibited.
