Want to get to know us better?
Whether you’re curious about about the fire service, joining our department, the courses we offer to the public or other responders, or anything else, we’re happy to talk with you!
We know we exist for our community, and our residents.
As an emergency service, we are commonly only called upon when an emergency is occurring. Yet there is a mystique and an intrigue about what we do, who we are, and how we do it. It’s our responsibility to engage and communicate to our residents, and to provide extraordinary value when there’s not an emergency. We’re always happy to host a Station Tour, hold a parade of apparatus, provide a class, or even arrange visits with Santa!
Each year, we are often seen having a good time and partnering with Thunderbird Estates, on their annual Halloween Hayride. This hayride is a very longstanding tradition in the community, where the community comes together to host hayrides and trick or treating for all of the kids. We are often there, providing a fun interaction with staff and apparatus.
If you see us out here in October, please slow down or find alternate routes through the area. We make sure the safety of the kids in their costumes is the top and most singular priority.
each year, we put in a request pretty early with the North Pole to have Santa come to visit! Kids of all ages are invited to come in, see the apparatus, and meet Santa! In recent years, IAFF Local 5280 and our Reserves have provided crafts where participants can make holiday decorations for their own homes!
During this time we also host our annual "Giving Tree" program. We partner with community donations to try to ensure that some of the most needy children in our communities are able to enjoy a gift during the holidays!

If there's a community event around, we want to be there! Maybe we're hosting a summer party at our firehouse, or a community-focused National Night Out event, or maybe you'd just like to spice up a neighborhood event with some friends, we're committed to being part of that. Our hope is to de-mystify our world of emergency services, and allow our staff a few moments to get to know you and maybe your own unique needs.
